Wolfed privacy policy

Effective date: 25/09/2026

Wolfed is a household app for tracking who fed the dog, when, and on what schedule. This page explains what information the Wolfed app and this website handle, why, and who can see it.

In short

  • There are no accounts, email addresses or passwords.
  • There are no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
  • Your household’s information is visible only to your household, apart from the dog’s photo (see below).
  • You can delete your data yourself in the app. See how to delete your account.

The Wolfed app

Your identity

When you first open Wolfed it creates an anonymous account on your device, with no name, email or password. This is how the app remembers which household you belong to. You choose a display name that other members of your household see. It doesn’t need to be your real name.

What Wolfed stores, and why

InformationWhy
Anonymous account identifierTo recognise your device as a member of your household.
Your display nameSo the household can see who fed the dog and who is on the leaderboard.
Household name, dog’s name and optional photoSo every member sees the same household and dog.
Feeding schedule and the household’s time zoneTo show meals and to send reminders at the right local time.
Feed records: which meal, the date and time, and the display name of whoever marked it fedTo show whether the dog has been fed and to build the leaderboard.
Push notification tokenTo deliver reminders to your device. It is not used for advertising.
Household invite codeSo people can join. It is not personal information on its own.

Wolfed does not ask for your location, contacts or microphone, and it does not read your photo library except for the one photo you pick as the dog’s picture. It does not use an advertising identifier.

Who can see it

Only members of your household can see your display name, the feed records and the household details. Access is enforced by rules in the database itself, so one household cannot read another’s data.

The one exception is the dog’s photo. It is kept in a storage area that is not password-protected. Its web address contains a long random household identifier and isn’t listed anywhere, but anyone who has the exact address could open the picture. Don’t choose a photo you wouldn’t want seen that way.

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.

Where it is stored, and who processes it

  • Supabase hosts Wolfed’s database and photo storage, and acts as our data processor. See supabase.com/privacy.
  • Expo’s push notification service delivers reminders. Our servers work out which meals are due and still unmarked, then send each reminder through Expo’s push service, which passes it to Apple’s or Google’s own notification network for your phone. To do this they receive your push token and the text of the notification, which includes the dog’s name and the meal. See expo.dev/privacy.
  • On your device, Wolfed keeps its sign-in and the household you belong to, so it can open straight to your household.

How long we keep it

  • Your display name, membership and push token are deleted when you leave a household.
  • Your anonymous account is deleted when you leave your last household.
  • Feed records stay as part of the household’s history after a member leaves, and they keep the display name that was used at the time, so the record of when the dog was fed isn’t rewritten. They are deleted when the household is deleted. If you would like your name removed from past entries, email us.
  • The household, its schedule, its history and the dog’s photo are deleted when the household’s admin deletes the household.

This website

wolfed.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Everything on the site is served from wolfed.app itself. Our hosting provider may record standard request data, such as IP addresses, in its server logs to keep the site secure and working. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.

Your choices and rights

  • You can leave a household, or an admin can delete it, from Settings in the app. See Delete your account.
  • You can turn off Wolfed’s notifications at any time in your phone’s settings.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by emailing support@wolfed.app. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Wolfed is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date at the top.
